Female bearded dragons produce egg follicles on their own timetable and can lay full infertile clutches without ever meeting another dragon, and every female owner needs to recognize the signs before it happens for the first time. Females Lay Without a Male

Container: Something she can comfortably turn around in, a plastic storage bin works fine. Bigger is generally safer than cutting it close.
Substrate depth: 6 to 12 in (15 to 30 cm) of a 50/50 mix of organic topsoil and washed play sand.
Moisture: Damp enough that a tunnel dug into it holds its shape without dripping when squeezed. Too dry and her tunnels collapse; too wet risks mold and a dirty enclosure.
