Welcome to BeastlyFacts - Why We're Here

A quick introduction to our new pet care site and what you can expect.

Welcome to BeastlyFacts!

Hello and welcome!

My name is Mike and this site is something I have been wanting to build for a long time. If you are reading this, there is a good chance you have a bearded dragon, a rabbit, or some other small pet at home and you are trying to do the best you can for them.

Happy pets, honest info

I started this because I got tired of seeing the same bad advice repeated over and over. Things like "just feed them crickets and lettuce" or "they only need a 20 gallon tank." A lot of that old information is outdated or just plain wrong, and it ends up hurting animals.

I am not a veterinarian. I am just a regular person who has spent years learning through research, talking to good exotic vets, and making plenty of my own mistakes along the way. My bearded dragon Dexter and my rabbit have taught me a lot, sometimes the hard way.

What you will find here is honest, practical information. Real care guides based on both science and actual day to day experience. Fun facts that are actually interesting. And product recommendations that I have personally used or researched carefully.

I am not here to sell you a bunch of stuff you do not need. I am here because I genuinely love these animals and I want other people to be able to give them good lives without having to sort through mountains of conflicting information.

Whether you are brand new to keeping reptiles or you have had small pets for years, I hope you find something useful. And if there is a topic you want covered, feel free to let me know. I read everything.

Thanks for stopping by. I am really glad you are here.

Cuddle Drones

Hedgehogs can run at speeds up to 6 miles per hour, which is quite fast for such small creatures! But don't be fooled by their spiny exterior; they love to curl up into little balls for cuddles when they're feeling safe.
